Wednesday's EP3 Update!
It's Wednesday and almost ready to submit. Today is a day of caffeine, caffeine, caffeine. No wait. What I mean. Bug fixes, art optimizations, and clean up! Hopefully soon, you'll all see the "we've been submitted" posting!

Can i say, as a beta, EP3 is awesome. I liked EP2 but didn't play much. I play at least a hour a day now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr. Crazy! Lumpy's glad your one of the testers. He says you've been poking him an awful lot ... but he looks at it like "tough love"!
ReplyDeleteWhy keep announcing submission dates and missing them?
ReplyDeleteBecause they keep adding more and more every time they announce one.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that just poor planning? Either don't announce or deliver when you say you will.
ReplyDeleteWe’re sorry that your disappointed. We know everyone is anxious for the next update.
ReplyDeleteWhen we announce a target date, it is a goal that we ourselves are looking to hit, but at the same time, we want to make sure that the update is stable for you, our customers. So if we find issues that we are not happy with (mainly bugs we find), we will hold back from submitting until it is resolved; sometimes it may be a minor bug fix (but affects gameplay) or a nasty crash bug, other times it could be revamping a feature to make it a better experience (thanks to our Beta Testers’ help and input) for the enduser .
Of course, we will not say that our app will be bug free when it is released, but we make every effort to gameplay and test each episode thoroughly enough so that you can have a pleasant experience.
Of course, we will try to be more mindful of our target dates in the future. We do apologize for the delay.
Thanks for your comment!
Well as someone who has worked on complex projects, I can appreciate the hard work involved in each submission. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI CAN'T WAIT! Lumpy I know you will love Zynx as much as I will. I just want to hug you Lumpy!
ReplyDeleteThe hard work is appreciated - looking forward to the results also! @Hermanator - thanks for the explanation. Complex projects mean accounting for the complexities - including testing. I'm just saying you guys aren't doing yourself any favors by announcing and then not delivering. Better to be conservative and surprise. Seems maybe the project is too complex for it's own good ...
ReplyDeleteNo worries! We do understand and appreciate you being straight forward with us.
ReplyDeleteWe beat ourselves whenever we are late as it is (actually, Lumpy gets to beat us over the head with the rubber chicken) so you're not saying anything that we aren't already thinking.
Sometimes it is due to our own fault (like trying to squeeze another feature in), sometimes it is due to extenuating circumstances but nevertheless, your assessment is correct and we'll keep that in mind when making announcements in the future.
Re-read my post and wanted to clarify that I'm not trying to make excuses. Just started rambling a bit; probably 'cause it's pretty late.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, Anonymous (unfortunately I can't address you properly) we appreciate your feedback and please continue to keep us honest!
I tell you one thing as a beta tester. The things they have put in from a build a week ago and now is so much. Lots of bug fixes (alot found by me) and lots of other things. Not much pokers tho.
