FAQ - Minigames

Minigames

Q. How do I play the Minigames?
A. There are 4 minigames; Lumpy Shoot, Poke Attack, Lumpy Hoops and Lumpy Bounce. Whenever you see their cue cards appear on screen, tap the cue card to enter a Minigame as shown below. The cue cards come out from all sides of the screen, so if you see a card, tap one to play a Minigame!

Or you can purchase any of the minigames using the Minigames icon (upper left corner) in the Pause Menu (see screenshot below).

Q. How do you play Lumpy Shoot?
A. Touch the Lumpy and Super Lumpy targets when they are revealed. The faster you touch the Lumpy target, the more points you get. Lumpy loves cute animals! So be careful not to hit the Bunnies! If you’re doing well, you’ll see a stopwatch that’ll give you 5 extra seconds.

Q. How does the scoring work for Lumpy Shoot?
A. You’ll receive 1, 2 or 3 points for every Lumpy target you hit. The number of points depends on how fast you can hit it after it appears. You get more points, the faster you hit it. You’ll lose 1 point for every Bunny you hit. If you hit two consecutive Bunnies, you’ll lose 2 points and if you hit three consecutive bunnies, you’ll lose 3 points.

Q. How do you play Poke Attack?
A. Poke the Smiley face and Star targets with the Poker. You’ll need to move the Poker around to get it into a position that can hit the targets. The faster you hit the Smiley target, the more points you get. As with Lumpy Shoot, be careful not to hit the Bunnies! Lumpy loves cute animals and would be extra sad if you did. If you’re doing well, you’ll see a stopwatch that’ll give you an extra 5 seconds.

Q. How does the scoring work for Poke Attack?
A. You’ll receive 1, 2 or 3 points for every Smiley face you hit. The number of points depends on how fast you can hit it once it appears. You’ll lose 1 point for every Bunny you hit. If you hit two consecutive Bunnies, you’ll lose 2 points and if you hit three consecutive bunnies, you’ll lose 3 points.

Q. How do you play Lumpy Hoops?
A. Get as many baskets as possible within 45 seconds. To throw the lumpyballs, simply touch the ball(s) in the rack. Each basket is worth 1 point. Consecutive baskets will give you more points and if you hit 5 or more baskets in a row, the backboard will cahtch on fire to indicate you are on fire! When you are on fire, each basket is worth 5 points. If you miss 3 or more baskets consecutively, the basket will slow down and you will see the backboard begin to freeze up.

Q. How does the scoring work for Lumpy Hoops?
A. You can receive up to 5 points for a basket. The number of points depends on how many consecutive baskets you get. Hitting a star with lumpyball will give you an extra 5 points. Hitting the stopwatch will give you an extra 5 seconds.

Q. How do you play Lumpy Bounce?
A. The objective is for Lumpy to get as many targets as possible without touching the ground. You start with 3 Lumpy lives (with a possibility of more Lumpys with power ups) and lose a life every time Lumpy touches the ground. Use the trampoline to bounce Lumpy back up to get more targets. Touch the trampoline to move it around. Catch the falling power ups to help you out!

List of power ups:
Lightning Bolt - Speeds Up Lumpy
Turtle Shell - Slows Down Lumpy
Star - +15 points
Bomb - Destroys all coins that are next to the bomb
Lumpy - Adds an extra Lumpy into play
+1 - Extra Life

Q. How does the scoring work for Lumpy Bounce?
A. You can get up to 5 points per target. Each destroyed target is worth 1 point. Destroying consecutive targets per bounce will increase the number of points you get up to a maximum of 5 points. So, if Lumpy destroys 7 targets with 1 bounce off the trampoline, he will get 25 points (1,2,3,4,5,5,5).

You can also received 20 points for clearing out a set of targets. There are 4 sets of targets (Left, Left Center, Right Center and Right) in Lumpy Bounce. Each set can contain up to 9 targets. You will have a limited amount of time to clear a set of targets before a new set appears.

Q. How do I win money in the Minigames?
A. Lumpy Shoot - You get $1 for every point you’ve scored.

Poke Attack - You get $2 for every point. So if your score is 125 points, then you will win $250. For both games (Lumpy Shoot and Poke Attack), if you get a negative score, you’ll receive no money.

Lumpy Hoops - You get $1.50 for every point so if you score 200 points, you get $300.

Lumpy Bounce - You get $1 for every point you score.

Q. Do you have high scores?
A. Yes! Right now local high scores are stored in the STATS menu from the in-game MENU. We now have OpenFeint which syncs up the local high scores into the OpenFeint Global Leaderboard.

And in case you're wondering, the highest scores we know of right now are 525 for Lumpy Shoot, 313 for Poke Attack and 486 for Lumpy Hoops.

  1. Plus+ would be great for these... and would get you a lot of sales.

  2. We plan on Open Feint support. Seems like the Plus+ versus OF lives strong. Thoughts on one vs. the other?
